I know, everyone has heard of Twitter<\/a> nowadays. I’ve had computer-illiterate friends coming to ask me “Is Twitter fun? Is it better than Facebook?” to “What the hell is Twitter?”.<\/p>\n

Well, I’ve been there, done that. Now I use Plurk<\/a>. I still have Twitter on, I just prefer to talk on Plurk than Twitter. Yeah I’m spoilt by their threaded conversation timelines. Things are more organised in Plurk compared to Twitter, which organises everything into a one single timeline. When you have multiple people talking inside there, replies tend to get lost on Twitter’s single timeline.<\/p>\n

In any case, in a recent plurk, Cobalt Paladin<\/a> was just saying that we (meaning me and Xizor<\/a>) have way too many funny tech support stories, and that we should start a new blog with those stories. We thought, why not?<\/p>\n

Yes I know, most of you guys have many frustrating and angry stories about inept and incompetent helpdesk people, due to your experiences with helpdesks like those of Singtel, Starhub and so on.<\/p>\n

However, there is also a reverse side to the story. Tech support people have MANY stories about clueless users making unreasonable demands. Or, just doing stupid things, which make us wonder whether the user had any common sense in the first place. Or, due to their ignorance of computers, do things that are completely just funny.<\/p>\n

So without further ado, I introduce:<\/p>\n

This is the place where we (Xizor and I) recount the funny stories of what users said, and what actually happened. Feel free to contribute your stories if you have some too! Yes, the stories inside are 100% true stories. We’re not making any of them up.<\/p>\n
