Useful Palm Websites
Below is a list of what I consider are the more useful Palm Websites out there. You should be able to find everything you want through these. If not, SORRY DUDE (or "Dudette")! Maybe you are not looking for the same kinda stuff I am...
Palm Software Sites
|
This is probably one of the most visited sites around for the Palm. It handles basically just about everything you could want to do on a Palm. It has software lists, FAQs, tips, and they even SELL you accessories. I have personally done business with them and they are very efficient and prompt. |

| I don't really know for sure whether this site is situated in Europe. I can only hazard a guess that it is due to the name. Other than this tiny nagging thing, this site is pretty much about the same as Palmgear, minus the online store features. |
| This site doesn't have much of the latest and greatest Palm apps, but the one thing that it does have is.... quirky apps. Yes, that's right! Stuff that are weird and wonderful, and fun too, that do not make it to Palmgear and Eurocool, make their way here! I always try to visit this site at least once a week to see if there are any new and cool weird apps :) |

Ah yes... the venerable TUCOWS site. Not many people know it now, but TUCOWS stands for The Ultimate Collection Of Winsock Software. Clever eh? Yeah well in today's day and age, this site no longer handles just Windows software (only Windows OSes run "Winsock", the stuff that makes your Windows able to view the web. Unixes and other real OSes run "Sockets"), and has expanded to include software from Linux, BeOS, and of course, PDA stuff like Palm, Psion and PocketPCs. Not only that, they have hundreds of mirrors all over the world, including about 5 or so in Singapore! If you are on broadband, you can download all your stuff in seconds! |

| ZDNet needs no introduction. They have apps for most platforms and they do feature articles on various apps. The thing I like best about this place is that the editor will regularly do "Editor's Picks" for the best apps of its class, and read his reviews and comments. |
FreewarePalm.net |
| Now this is a very very good Palm app site. The unique feature about this site is that everything listed in this site is either FREEWARE or Open-Sourced. In other words you don't need to pay the authors of these apps unless you volunteer to. That doesn't mean the apps here are lousy or bad. On the contrary, most of these are pretty good, some much better than those which are shareware or commercial! |
