Sausage or Hot Dog?

Something happened recently and, honestly, it has not happened before now. Which makes me wonder… has it always been like this, or is this a new thing?

So yeah I went to a food stall recently… and just wanted to get a couple of sausages so when my turn came, the lady asked “what would you like?” and I just said “2 sausages please”, like I always did.

Amazingly, she had a blank stare on her face. So I pointed to this (pic below).

I’m A Logitech Man (part 3) – The Logitech G710+ Mechanical Keyboard

So recently, I was at a local computer expo (Comex or IT Show, can’t remember which) in 2014. Why did I wait so long to write this? Easy – I wanted to give this keyboard a REAL test first. I needed to see and feel it in action for everyday use as well as frantic gaming moments. So yeah, roughly 8 to 9 months later, I finally sat down to write this.

Anyway long story short, I came across this booth where they were selling lots of peripherals, like mice, gamepads, joysticks etc. What caught my eye were 2 products – The Logitech G710+ Keyboard, and the Razer Black Widow Keyboard. At that point in time, Razer was cheaper by about $20 or $30, I forget. The reason why I opted for the Logitech was simply because my mouse was already a Logitech one, which meant I already have the gaming software for the keyboard. May as well use the same software to manage the keyboard as well instead of having to run the one from Razer.

The End of an Era – Goodbye Mr Lee Kuan Yew

I count myself fortunate having been alive during the lifetime of Lee Kuan Yew. I have actually seen with my own eyes how the transformation of Singapore was done.

When he was alive, stories were rife about how strict and stern he was. How uncompromising his position was, woe be those who tried to oppose him. His very presence in the same room as you would cause balls to shrink and you started to squeal like a little girl (yes it’s just an exaggeration).

Like everyone else, we don’t know what we have, until we no longer have it. Lee Kuan Yew passed away on 23 March 2015, and suddenly, the guiding light of Singapore was extinguished. What happened next was unexpected, and unprecedented.

People from all over Singapore came to Parliament House to pay last respects. Not a few thousands mind you – HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS. All in all, in the 4 days, over 1.2 million people have paid tribute to him, with something like 450,000 having done so in person at Parliament House. Putting that in context, that is 20% of the entire population of Singapore (foreigners included) have paid their last respects to him.
